Fire crews respond to tipped bucket truck in York Beach

The bucket truck tipped on Sunday morning, officials say.

MAINE, USA — York Beach fire crews helped rescue a worker after their bucket truck tipped, and they got stuck, officials say. 

The York Beach Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post that the high-angle rescue took place Sunday morning on Main Street. 

The incident took place around 11:45 a.m.

Officials called in additional help to stabilize the bucket truck and rescue the stuck individual. 

"All in all, the call took roughly four hours to stabilize, rescue the individual, and recover the vehicle. This time was well spent planning and executing rescue efforts to ensure [the] safety of the occupant and those responding to the call," the post stated.
