Temps are still struggling and there are icy areas out there, please be careful this morning.
Temperatures will warm during the day, and the high for the day will be reached later on, in the 50s for many. Periods of rain will fall through the day, with a surge of heavier rain this evening as a cold front moves through. This will be accompanied by a few hours of potentially damaging wind gusts from the south. The strongest gusts are likely to be tonight between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. in central and southern Maine, and between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. in eastern Maine. Power outages are likely. The strongest gusts are expected near the Midcoast and in eastern Maine, where gusts may top 60 mph.
We’ll have clearing skies on Thursday, and temperatures will be dropping through the day. It will be cold and quiet through the weekend with no storms for several days.
