Bangor Police investigating gunshots near York Street and Essex Street

Bangor Police are looking for the owners and occupants of one white and one dark color sedan after gunshots were fired Friday night.

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Police shut down York Street for a while Friday night to investigate the report of several gunshots. 

One white four-door sedan and one dark color four-door sedan fled the scene before police arrived at the area of York Street and Essex Street at 7:42 p.m. Police believe the people in both cars were involved. Police are currently trying to identify the owners and occupants of the cars. 

No one was reported to be injured. At this time, police believe the people involved in this incident know each other. They do not believe the public is in danger.
