KENNEBEC COUNTY, Maine — Emergency officials have responded to the scene of a crash on Waterville Road in Unity Township.
As of 12:30 p.m., the road, also known as Route 139, was expected to be closed for "a few more hours" for crash reconstruction, Kennebec County Sheriff's Office Lt. Chris Read told NEWS CENTER Maine.
Officials encouraged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office has not provided any further information.
The sheriff's office said they would plan to share updates about the situation on Friday.
