Taylor Swift's private jet sold to St. Louis company, records show

The jet changed owners not long after Swift's lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to a Florida college student tracking her jet's emissions.

ST. PETERS, Mo. — The CEO of a St. Peters-based company may be the new owner of one of Taylor Swift's private jets, according to records from the FAA and the Missouri Secretary of State's Office.

The jet, identification number N898TS, was originally registered to S A T A, LLC, a company with the same physical address as Swift's management company in Nashville, 13 Management. This jet and Swift's other frequently used private jet, N621MM, both gained national media attention after Swift's lawyers sent a cease-and-desist to Florida college student Jack Sweeney, who runs the Twitter account Taylor Swift Jets (Tracking).

Just days after news about the cease-and-desist letter was released, the N898TS jet changed ownership. A company called Triangle Real Estate, LLC is the new registered owner, according to FAA documents. The company's address is listed at 503 Pearl Drive in St. Peters, which is the national headquarters of CarShield.

The jet recently made a round trip from Spirit of St. Louis Airport to St. Louis Downtown Airport and back again, a less than 30-minute flight either way, according to the jet tracking account.

It's unclear who specifically purchased the jet and why. Triangle Real Estate, according to the Missouri Secretary of State's Office website, has a different listed address than the address the jet was listed to on FAA documents. Triangle Real Estate's address is 500 Boone's Lick Road in St. Charles and lists Felicia Dixon as the company's registered agent.

Even though Dixon is listed as the registered agent, the Secretary of State's Office website also shows documents with the signature of Nicholas Hamilton, the CEO of CarShield.

Neither Dixon nor CarShield has returned 5 On Your Side's request for comment on the purchase of the jet from Swift at time of publication.

This is a developing story. This article will be updated with the latest information as it is released.
