Serious crash shuts down road in Gray

The crash appeared to involve one car into a utility pole on Shaker Road.

GRAY, Maine — A serious crash shut down Shaker Road in Gray Friday night.

As many as six Cumberland County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene between North Raymond Road and the Maine State Police barracks. 

The crash appeared to involve one car into a utility pole. Central Maine Power crews were also called in as officers used a drone to capture the crash site.

There is no word on if anyone was injured. NEWS CENTER Maine reached out to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office for additional information, but did not get an immediate response. 

As of 11:45 p.m. Shaker Road was still closed to traffic. Dispatchers are asking drivers to avoid the area.
