CARIBOU, Maine — A teenager from Caribou who was reported missing earlier this week has been found and is safe, according to police.
The Caribou Police Department posted a request for help in locating a 16-year-old who was last seen Tuesday after she reportedly did not return from an appointment.
The police department said Friday afternoon that the teen has been found and is safe.
Officials thanked the public for their assistance through calls and messages in the effort to locate her.
"All contributions were greatly appreciated and helpful in locating and returning her home," the department shared in a post on social media.
