Police raid suspected illegal marijuana grow operation in Penobscot County

No arrests were made, but Holden police said they seized evidence during the raid.

HOLDEN, Maine — The Holden Police Department said they raided a suspected illegal pot operation Thursday morning in Penobscot County

Police said they executed a search warrant around 8:30 a.m. on Winters Road in Holden, according to a social media post by the department.

"The warrant was part of an ongoing active investigation into an illegal Chinese marijuana growing," the post stated.

Officials said no arrests were made, but evidence was seized during the raid. 

"This investigation continues to demonstrate the dangerous conditions and illegal actions occurring in these residential homes," the post stated.

Holden police were assisted by the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Office of Cannabis Policy.

The investigation is ongoing.
