No joke. Snow is coming. Spring had us fooled for a quick second, but it's true. Wednesday could see some snow showers. Never fear, though. Next week is looking like it'll be even warmer.
2. DAY 2 OF WEEK-LONG HEARING ON CMP CORRIDOR
Tonight, members of the public will have the chance to voice concerns about the proposed Central Maine Power transmission line project. They'll be speaking to members of the Department of Environmental Protection -- which is holding a week-long hearing on the project in Farmington.
3. MAINE WOMAN BEING CALLED A "WHISTLEBLOWER" IN D.C.
A whistleblower from inside the White House has come forward saying 25 people in the Trump Administration were granted access to classified information even though they had what she termed "disqualifying issues" in their backgrounds.
Tricia Newbold is a long time White House security advisor.
Local Madawaska paper the Fiddlehead Focus calls Newbold a former Madawaska resident, saying that she graduated from madawaska high school in 1998.
4. NATIONAL EQUAL PAY DAY
On Equal Pay Day, it is prime time to take a look at the income discrimination between men and women in the workforce. Although it may seem as if wage conditions are getting better over time, there is still room for improvement. Women continue to face workplace hardships like fewer promotions, less support, and implicit bias. They also experience pregnancy discrimination, exclusion from the "boy's club" and sexual harassment. On top of all that, they're getting paid 80 cents on average for every dollar a man makes.
