Frozen shrimp recall | Hannaford recalls cooked shrimp due to possible salmonella contamination

The impacted shrimp products include Nature’s Promise and Hannaford private label cooked shrimp. They were sold between May 20, through August 14, 2021.

MAINE, USA — If you bought frozen cooked shrimp from Hannaford, do not eat it until you check the label.  

Saturday, the supermarket chain announced that its supplier, Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt. Ltd, informed them that Nature’s Promise and Hannaford private label cooked shrimp brands might be contaminated with salmonella. 

The impacted products are labeled 12 Oz. package Nature’s Promise 41/50 Tail-On Cook Peeled and Deveined Shrimp. It has a best-by date of 7/05/2022. 

The second impacted product is labeled 16 Oz. package Hannaford Cooked Medium Shrimp 41/50. It has best-by dates of 12/28/2022, 12/29/2022, and 12/30/2022.

The company said no injuries or illnesses had been reported as a result of this potential contamination. The company says customers should not eat the shrimp products and may return it to the store for a full refund.

The impacted products were sold between May 20, 2021, through August 14, 2021.
