Lost Valley to reopen for three 'bonus' days this weekend due to nor'easter

Ski and snowboard days at Lost Valley this year are not over yet.

AUBURN, Maine — Ski and snowboard days at Lost Valley this year aren't over yet.

The Auburn ski resort, which saw its last day of the 2024 season on Saturday, will reopen for three extra days thanks to a nor'easter bringing lots of snow to the region this week.

Lost Valley said in a news release it will open this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for what it's calling "bonus days."

"When Mother Nature brings you over a foot or more of snow, it's our duty as ski area operators to reopen for people to enjoy," Lost Valley owner Scott Shanaman said in the release. "I know some folks aren’t happy about the snow, but we live for this type of stuff and are re-opening, bringing in some local music each day and giving people a chance to get outside and ski or snowboard."

The resort said it will be open 2-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with lift tickets as low as $29 for all ages.

Lost Valley added that it predicts 100% of its ski lifts running this weekend, with all trails and glades open. In addition, there will be a terrain park on the Bobcat Trail, and the 8K of Nordic and snowshoe trails are expected to be open.

According to the resort's website, the brewpub will also be open each day with live music.

You can hit the trails this weekend at the ski resort located at 200 Lost Valley Rd. in Auburn.
