More than 115,000 children's activity centers recalled over injury risk

The manufacturer received 141 reports of the activity center straps detaching or breaking.

WASHINGTON — More than 115,000 child activity centers sold at Walmart have been recalled after nearly 40 children suffered injuries.

Dorel Juvenile Group said it is recalling two models of its Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers because the straps that hold the child's seat can come off or break, posing fall and injury hazards.

The jumpers were sold exclusively at Walmart, in stores nationwide and online, from Nov. 2020 through Oct. 2023 for around $70.

The Indiana-based manufacturer said it's received 141 reports of the straps detaching or breaking, which included 38 minor injuries involving bumps, bruises and scratches.

The recalled activity centers were sold in blue and pink and only include model numbers WA105FZW and WA105GML. The model number can be found on a label underneath the activity centers.

According to Cosco Kids, a light blue version of the activity center with model number WA105HCM is not included in the recall because it has an additional black safety strap.

Parents or caregivers with one of the recalled activity centers should immediately stop using it and contact Dorel for a free replacement. The company said it will ship consumers a new activity center free of charge, once they cut the straps on the recalled model and provide photo proof to the company. Consumers can also call Dorel toll-free at 877-657-9546 for more details.
