#UPDATE: Scarborough police say the armed man they were looking for is now in custody. Police tell NEWS CENTER that the arrest at Fairfield Inn in Scarborough is an MDEA case.
(Press Herald) -- Plainclothes detectives were on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Payne and Cummings roads in Scarborough seeking a possible suspect shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday.
A police dispatcher confirmed that officers, including the detectives, were at the crash, but he could not immediately confirm any further details.
According to the Press Herald the driver involved fled scene with weapon.

At the scene on Cummings Road, a Honda sedan with Massachusetts plates was being hauled away on a flatbed truck. It appeared to have collided with a Cintas delivery truck, which was damaged and still at the scene.
Police are asking residents that live near the area to stay inside.
