CLINTON, Maine — A missing man from Clinton was found dead in the woods late Monday afternoon after he had been missing since Sunday night.
The Clinton Police Department said in a news release 40-year-old Damon Bickford was found dead late Monday afternoon in the woods after an extensive search.
Police said assistance from the Maine Warden Service and use of their resources such as their K9 team and plane was critical in locating Bickford.
Bickford's next of kin has been notified, police said. No foul play is suspected in Bickford's death.
The Clinton Police Department asked for help in locating Bickford Monday afternoon after he had last been seen around 10 p.m. Sunday evening near his home. Police said he had left his phone at home.
