Students collaborate to build wind blades

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two King Middle School eighth graders and a Portland High School sophomore have come together to design and engineer wind blades.

The students make molds out of foam blocks.

Then they use a 3-D printer and other things to turn the molds into composite blades. The students will enter their blades in a state competition on May 2nd at the University of Maine.
