Unsolved Homicides: James Angelo

In Portland, 43 percent of murders from the last 10 years remain unsolved. Can you help?

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) - On September 7, 2008, James Angelo was shot and killed in the parking lot of Mercy Hospital.

He was 27-years-old.

He was a security guard at the hospital, and was conducting a routine check of the doctors' parking lot.

A nearby surveillance camera captured grainy images of two shadowy figures.

"He was preparing for a career studying Criminal Justice at the Southern Maine Community College in South Portland. James will be remembered at Mercy Hospital for his soft spoken manner, kindness, and his warm smile," according to his obituary in the Portland Press Herald.
