(NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Waterville Police reported that a gun was stolen as part of a rash of car burglaries on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, police said most of the cars were left unlocked, including the one the gun was taken from.

They believe the same people are responsible for multiple burglaries.

Police are asking people who may have seen something to contact them with a description and a direction of travel.
