Bangor Police make arrest in murder of local man

Bangor Police announced Saturday morning that an arrest has been made in connection with the murder of 51-year-old Israel Lewis.

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER Maine)- Bangor Police announced Saturday morning that an arrest has been made in connection with the murder of 51-year-old Israel Lewis.

Arrested is 29-year-old F Daly, originally from Boston, MA, who as of recently was living in Bangor.

Daly was arrested Saturday morning by the Criminal Investigators Division and the Bangor Police Department Special Response Team. He has been charged with the murder of Israel Lewis and is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail.

Officers found Lewis's body inside an apartment at 40 Second Street in Bangor on January 10th, 2018. An autopsy conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner revealed Lewis's cause of death to be a gunshot wound and the manner of his death was determined to be a homicide.
