Mainers have been asking for it, and we're finally getting it: a lobster emoji is included in Emoji 11.0.
The Unicode Blog announced Wednesday the set is finalized for release in June 2018, with new emojis slated to show up in August or September.
Other new emojis include a mosquito, a softball, a female superhero, and a pair of flats.
Senator Angus King thanked Unicode in a tweet for, "recognizing the impact of this critical crustacean, in Maine and across the country."
