PORTLAND, Maine — At just 15 years old, Bella Ann is already booking gigs and writing her own music.
The Winslow teenager competed in Central Maine Idol last year and has been recording her own songs since. She began singing publicly at a young age when her parents, also musicians, would call her up on stage. She wrote her first song when she was 9, about a boy she liked.
The young Mainer has been in the studio recording new music, including a single coming out in April.
You can hear her April 18 on the Colby College radio station, WMHB 89.7FM, or see her live at Johnson Hall in Gardiner April 27. She’ll also have summer performances at Island Lobster Company on Peaks Island throughout the summer.
