Portland (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Kate Bourque is a high school junior who won a prestigious internship to work within Senator Susan Collins' office within the city. Bourque is only the second student from Portland High School to have such an experience.
These students aren't just running coffee; they're setting up futures in politics. We sat down with Bourque and Sophie Frantz along with Eric Moynihan, with Jobs for Maine's Graduates, a program in many Maine Schools, that helps to better prepare students for the real world.
