A day for the Record Stores

And the guy who coined the concept.

It's international. Record Store Day. It's not just here in Maine, but it was a man here in Maine that came up with the idea. Chris Brown, one of the founders of Bull Moose record stores in Maine came up with the in and around 2007. Now it has grown into an international phenomenon and the little record stores are thankful. But not just the record stores, but also those labels and companies that produce records are fond of this idea. And they have begun releasing various & sundry items for the selling on Record Store Day. This year it falls on Saturday, April 21 and the Bull Moose stores will have many things to celebrate. In fact, at the Scarborough store a band you may have heard of, They Might Be Giants will be performing there.
