The 207 Interview: Meet Republican congressional candidate Ron Russell

Running in the first district, he hopes to win the GOP nomination and take on Democratic incumbent Chellie Pingree.

PORTLAND, Maine — On June 11, a primary will decide who the Republican nominee will be in the race for the U.S. House seat in Maine's first district. The two primary candidates are Ron Russell and Andrew Piantidosi.

Here is a quick look at Russell:

Residence: Kennebunkport

Political experience: None

Work experience: Served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret, worked as a defense contractor, and started his own small business in the Carolinas
