OXFORD, Maine — A 35-year-old woman from Oxford faces multiple charges following an alleged hit-and-run crash Friday night that left a pedestrian injured.
Amber Croteau, 35, of Oxford was arrested on multiple charges including aggravated operating under the influence after her vehicle, a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, hit a male pedestrian in front of Oxbow Beer Pub on Main Street, resulting in "serious bodily injury," according to a news release from the Oxford Police Department.
Oxford police reportedly apprehended Croteau after she fled the scene, and police said she exhibited signs of intoxication upon contact. Croteau was then brought to the Oxford County Jail. Thirty-year-old Spencer Martinez of Paris, identified as Croteau's boyfriend, was also arrested on OUI charges, police said.
Croteau now faces charges of aggravated operating under the influence with injury, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, aggravated driving to endanger, and violating conditions of release.
Police said Croteau was already subject to bail conditions for felony theft at the time of the incident on Friday.
