Sharon Carrillo, accused killer of her 10-year-old daughter Marissa Kennedy,  will ask Wiscasset District Court to annul her marriage to her husband, Julio Carrillo, on the grounds he is still married to previous wives, according to an email from Sharon Carrillo's attorney.

"We filed a petition to annul the Carrillo marriage on the grounds that Julio Carrillo secretly had one or more prior wives that he was not divorced from when he married Sharon Carrillo," said attorney Chris MacLean.

Sharon and Julio Carrillo are both accused of killing 10-year-old Marissa Kennedy in February 2018.

Julio Carrillo, 51, and Sharon Carrillo, 33, were arrested at State Police offices in Bangor in February after being interviewed by detectives.

This is not the first legal movement in this case. Sharon Carrillo's lawyers accused two district attorneys with misconduct during the investigation, asking to have the officials removed from the case. Judges twice refused the appeals.
