Farmington home invasion under investigation

Police found a man with minor injuries when they arrived at the home on Morrison Hill Road late Wednesday night.

FARMINGTON, Maine — A home invasion that happened late Wednesday night in Farmington is being investigated.

At about 11:18 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of an invasion at a home on Morrison Hill Road, the Farmington Police Department said in a news release.

Police found a man with minor injuries when they arrived at the scene, according to the release.

The man was evaluated by NorthStar Ambulance but refused transportation, police said.

"Officers learned that multiple suspects entered the home, assaulted the occupant, [and] stole unspecified items before fleeing in at least one vehicle," the release stated.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Wilton Police Department are assisting.

The incident remains under investigation.
