The investigation is ongoing and still pending further testing by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but the deaths are considered suspicious, officials said.

GREAT POND, Maine — Officials have publicly identified two victims of a house fire that happened in Great Pond on Monday, adding their deaths are considered "suspicious."

The fire happened around 5 a.m. Monday at 23 Old Dam Way.

Marie Robbins, 35, who was the occupant of the home, was one of the victims, Maine State Police said in a release Thursday. The other was Ryan Devisme, 38, of Aurora, the release stated. Their bodies were found in the rubble, according to officials.

The investigation is ongoing and still pending further testing by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but the deaths are considered suspicious, according to the release.

Officials said they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public in connection with the fire.

Police said future updates would be given once the medical examiner's office gets tests results back, which "can take some time."
