Berwick police search for man allegedly involved in multi-state vehicle thefts

Berwick police said they are searching for 44-year-old Anthony Bizzocchi in connection with multiple vehicle thefts in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

BERWICK, Maine — Police in Berwick are searching for a man who they say is believed to be involved in multiple vehicle thefts across several New England states. 

The Berwick Police Department said on Facebook they, along with several other police departments, are attempting to locate 44-year-old Anthony Bizzocchi in connection with vehicle thefts in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. 

A vehicle reportedly stolen from North Hampton, New Hampshire was recovered in Berwick, police said. A truck from Cranberry Meadow Road in Berwick was allegedly stolen, later to be found in Wells a short time later. Police said another vehicle was stolen from Wells. 

"All vehicles had been left unlocked with the key or key fob left with vehicle," Berwick police said. "We want to remind everyone to lock vehicles and secure keys."

Those with information on Bizzocchi's whereabouts are asked to call the Berwick Police Department at 207-698-1136, option 1. 

York police said in a release on Tuesday they are also looking for Bizzocchi in connection with multiple vehicle thefts in southern Maine.
