Annual 'Redneck Games' brings out fierce competition in Hebron

HEBRON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — There was fierce competition in Hebron Saturday for the annual redneck games — known formally as the Redneck Blank, Pig Roast and Music Festival.

Participants showed their mastery in events such as bobbing for pigs feet, toilet seat horseshoes and the tire beer trot.

There were bronze, silver, and gold medals for each event. There was also live music and food.

"This is really a bunch of people getting outside, instead of sitting on their couches, and just having fun," said owner and organizer Harold Brooks.

"My favorite event is playing with the trucks over there… lining them up and letting them run through the mud," said Roland Raubeson. "I like toilet seat horseshoes, which I'm about to enter here.

"I won that the first year here and I play it every year since."

The pig roast is on Saturday night.
