A cold weekend, maybe another storm? | Cory's Blog

Windy on Saturday, with temperatures well below-average for this time of year for the rest of the weekend. There is potential for another storm Wednesday into Thursday.

Spring arrives this Tuesday, but it's not going to feel like it at all.

TEMPERATURES: Average high temperatures are supposed to be in the low 40s. We won't be anywhere near that Saturday or Sunday. Highs will only manage to stay in the 20s for much of the area, Saturday. Overnight lows into Sunday morning will drop into the single digits. When you factor in the winds, wind chills will stay in the single digits this afternoon. Sunday should see some slight improvement in the temperatures, but not much. We'll reach the upper 20s and a few low 30s.

WINDS: It will be blustery Saturday. Sustained winds anywhere between 10 to 20 mph, with higher gusts approaching 30-40 mph are likely. Winds should relax heading into Sunday.

POSSIBLE NEXT STORM: There may be a few flurries or light snow showers, Saturday morning. Accumulations will be very light. We're still watching the Wednesday to Thursday timeframe. Another coastal storm will possibly develop and stay well offshore. However, it's still a bit too close for comfort for us to completely rule it out. It's still way too early to set anything into stone, but some precipitation may reach the state. Just be sure to stick with us on air and online for the latest updates.

Have a great Saturday!

Cory
