Even among such an exceptional collection of athletes, Blodgett still manages to stand out. Lawrence High School won four straight Gold Ball trophies with her on the team. With 2,596 points, Blodgett set a record as Maine's all-time high school scoring leader.

Her success continued in college at the University of Maine. She broke 20 school records while leading the team to four consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament. In two of those seasons she led the entire nation in scoring.

Blodgett entered the WNBA as the sixth pick in the draft. Her pro career included stints in Cleveland and Sacramento. After her playing days were done, she brought her basketball IQ to the sidelines as associate head coach of the women's team at Boston University.

Blodgett and her fellow inductees will officially join the Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on August 19.
