NEWPORT (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Police are responding to a "situation" at the Pray's Motel on Shaw Street in Newport and are asking for drivers to avoid the area. One person was brought out of the motel on a stretcher.
Louis Irish, a 60-year-old male was arrested for Criminal Threatening with a dangerous weapon and for Criminal Trespassing at the Pray's Motel.
According to Newport police there were no injuries in the incident.
