SCARBOROUGH (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- In the last few years, there seems to have been an explosion of ticks in Maine; parts that had never seen them before are now dealing with the bugs.
What has changed that has created an environment ticks seem to thrive in? What are the best, and safest ways to protect ourselves, our kids, and our pets against the diseases they carry?
We sat down with a tick expert to get some answers. Chuck Lubelczyk is a Vector Ecologist with the Maine Medical Center Research Institute; which basically means he and his team study a lot of ticks.
