Walmart recognized this Mainer out of its 2 million workers

FALMOUTH (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- An employee at a Walmart in Maine is being recognized for helping dozens of elderly customers.

Lisa Taylor is a manager at the Falmouth Walmart. Last summer she noticed an abundance of elderly customers asking for money grams.

When she started asking questions, Taylor knew her customers were being scammed.

She said they all had the same story about needing to send money to bail a grandchild out of jail. Taylor would put her foot down and refuse to give them the money grams. And when they insisted, she would call the Falmouth Police Department to back her up.

Thanks to Taylor, these customers were stopped from losing tens of thousands of dollars.

For her efforts, Taylor will receive this year’s Walmart Ethics Integrity Action Award, given to only one of the company’s 2.2 million employees.

Taylor, who has worked at Walmart for 24 years, will be heading to company's shareholders' meeting in Arkansas later this month to receive her award.
