PORTLAND, Maine — Wild weather will slide through Friday morning. Windswept showers and downpours will abruptly end with sun popping out by mid-morning. Temps will remain abnormally warm but drop like a rock through the afternoon. I'm thinking roads will dry out from the sun and wind but puddles and wet spots may freeze up, so watch out for slick areas during your evening commute.
Those Winter temperatures will stick around through the weekend. Highs will only make it to around 30 and overnight lows will mostly be in the single digits. I'm also expecting a little snow, and I want to stress a little.
A weak clipper system will fly through tomorrow afternoon with snow showers and a few snow squalls. Coatings are possible with the mountains receiving a couple of inches.
Have a great weekend.
