Welcome to March, in Maine!
We will start off our weekend with a light snow accumulation. This will be closer to the coast. The bulk of this storm will remain well offshore. Look at this as the appetizer for what's to come late this weekend.
Sunday will stay quiet, with a mix of sun and clouds. We won't see any snow move in until after sunset. There is still some uncertainty on the exact track of the storm. This could impact snow totals a bit. Here is a look at the timeline.
LATE SUNDAY NIGHT: Snow will begin to break out well after sunset, Sunday night. It will continue to fill in from southwest to northeast through the overnight.
EARLY MONDAY MORNING: Monday morning will be tricky for travel. Snow will continue to fall all across the state, as the storm moves offshore.
EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON: This storm will move through pretty quick. We will start to see the snow let up heading into the early afternoon for southern and western parts of Maine and New Hampshire. Some snow showers will remain for Downeast, Central, and Northern parts of the state.
