Another day, more wind alerts. Gusts will top 40 mph several times throughout the day. Scattered power outages will be possible again.
The wind will finally throw in the towel tomorrow, so calmer times are ahead but no time to rest. A "Clipper" system slides through New England tomorrow night and Thursday morning.
Maine will be on the northern fringe of the storm and bone dry air over the Pine Tree State will chew away at any moisture so snow won't get that far north into the State. But, the air will also be very cold, so if any snow gets to the ground it will "fluff" up.
Thin coatings will be possible north of Portland. 1-3" from Portland down through Portsmouth. Some towns in Southern NH may creep above 3". Stay tuned for adjustments.
