The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for York county until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
All of the state has a chance for showers and storms today, but the highest risk for severe weather is in southwestern Maine.
Watches are issued when conditions are favorable for storms to form and strengthen.
Warnings are issued when storms are imminent or occurring, and you should take shelter immediately.
