Slick start to Sunday, big snow for some starts Monday night

Freezing rain around today will make roads and sidewalks slick. Then some of us might see double digit snow Monday night into Tuesday.

Many locations are seeing freezing rain this morning. Road and sidewalks could become extremely slick where the freezing rain is falling. Please be careful if you have to drive.

Northern Maine will see snow this afternoon and into tonight. A couple inches are possible.

Then ANOTHER storm is on the way for Monday night into Tuesday. This one has the potential to put down double digit snowfall in some parts of Maine.

It'll start Monday evening and continue overnight.

Early Tuesday morning most of us will be seeing snow, although some rain could mix in closest to the coast.

It'll start to wrap up Tuesday evening.

The snow at the coast will be the heaviest, wettest, snow since the air temperature will be closest to 32° and that plus mixing with rain will keep amounts lowest at the coast. the area in between is the toughest to forecast in my opinion on this one, so watch for changes over the next two days as we get new and better information.
