Another day in the heat, relief on the way | CORY'S BLOG

It'll be hot and humid once again Thursday. More refreshing air makes a comeback late Friday into the upcoming weekend.

After a record-breaking Fourth of July, temperatures will continue to remain hot.

Thursday's high temperatures will soar back into the low 90s and mid to upper 80s along the coast. It'll be humid, and it'll feel more like 95 to 100 degrees at times this afternoon. Please stay hydrated and stay in the AC as much as possible. There is a small risk of a shower or storm late this afternoon.

A heat advisory remains in effect until the early evening Thursday.

A cold front approaches early Friday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely. Some of these storms may be on the strong side. Gusty winds and heavy rain are possibilities. We should clear from west to east during the day.

More refreshing air returns behind the front. Plenty of sunshine returns for the weekend, too. Highs will stay right around 80.

Enjoy the day and stay cool!
