A Harsh Thanksgiving - GUTNER BLOG

Brutally cold this Thanksgiving day.

Keep those bellies full of food today...you'll need that sustenance to keep warm. We are looking at the coldest Thanksgiving on record!

The records are impressive, of course, but the wind chill steals the show.

I expect the feels-like temperature to remain below zero all day long. If you're planning to run a turkey trot, use your ski gear to stay warm.

Over the weekend the cold will ease and temps will actually clear 40. After back to back frigid days, 40 degrees is going to feel amazing!

Another coastal storm will threaten us on Sunday when a lot of travelers are heading home. Early indications are that it will be just warm enough for mainly rain. But there is a good chance that snow will mix in across the interior, especially in the mountains where there may be a few inches that accumulate.

You can follow my Thanksgiving food journey on Twitter & Instagram. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
