Scarborough street shut down after contractor strikes gas line

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — A Scarborough road was shut down on Tuesday afternoon after a contractor struck a gas line, officials say. 

A dispatcher told NEWS CENTER Maine Eastern Road was closed at Black Point Road and Portland Farms Road. 

Emergency crews responded to the gas leak around 3 p.m.
