BANGOR, Maine — Part of the southbound side of I-95 in the Newport area was closed for a number of hours Wednesday due to a crash involving two tractor-trailer trucks. That stretch of highway is now back open to traffic.

State police say I-95 was closed from Exit 161 to 157 because a tractor-trailer flipped over at Exit 159 in Newport.

Anyone driving on the interstate was redirected to Exit 161 in Plymouth.

Note: A previous version of this article said "Bangor area" as told to us by dispatchers. Exit 159 is the exit for Newport on I-95.
