(NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Biddeford's own two-time Stanley Cup winner is returning to his hometown for a good cause.
Brian Dumoulin is hosting the first Skate for Dreams fundraiser on June 16 at the University of New England. Fun for all ages will take place from 11-5, including an open skate, clinics, a silent auction, a bounce house and a beer garden for those over 21.
All the proceeds go to the Dream Factory of Maine, a group that grants wishes for critically ill children in this state.

Dumoulin chose the Dream Factory as the fundraiser's benefactor in honor of his cousin's daughter, Lauren. Her wish to go to Disney World and meet Disney Princesses was granted by the Dream Factory. Lauren's mother, Jessica, says having Lauren's wish granted did so much for her family. She says every child and family deserves some magic in their lives, especially when thier days are defined by medical appointments.
