(NEWS CENTER) -- The University of Maine softball team is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2004.

After the most one-sided America East championship games in conference history, Maine clinched its first title in 12 years with a 14-1 win over UAlbany.

The conference pitcher of the year, South Portland's Erin Bogdanovich, gave up just four hits and one earned run while striking out two batters during the five-inning game.

America East player of the year, and the Black Bears lone senior, Janelle Bouchard was 3-4 at the plate with 4 RBI including a two-run home run.

Erike Lennon also had a 4 RBI day for UMaine, going 2-3 at the plate.

Maine also set a new tournament record for hits in a single game (18).

Maine will wait to find out who it will play in the NCAA tournament.
