ORONO (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- The Maine Black Bears scored early and often in Saturday's second round FCS playoff game against Jacksonville State. Maine never trailed, leading 42-14 at the half on their way to making history at home. The Black Bears won 55-27, breaking the record for most points by a Maine team in a playoff game.

The Black Bears are moving on to the FCS quarterfinals for the first time since 2011. They will play the winner of the Southeast Missouri State vs. Weber State game taking place at 4 p.m. Saturday.

This game marked the second home playoff game in school history and the first time team has one a playoff game in Orono.
