HOUSTON (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Former President George H.W. Bush has been moved from the intensive care unit to a regular patient room, the Bush family spokesperson said Wednesday.
Mr. Bush is expected to continue his recovery at Houston Methodist Hospital for several more days.
Spokesperson Jim McGrath said Mr. Bush is alert and talking with hospital staff, family and friends. He said doctors are pleased with the former president's progress.
McGrath said Mr. Bush is actually more focused on the Houston Rockets closing out their NBA playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves "than anything that landed him in the hospital."
