Both Lewiston High School and Lewiston Regional Technical Center were closed Wednesday while the threat was being investigated.

Lewiston Superintendent Bill Webster announced the decision to close the schools on social media late Tuesday night.

Police say the 17-year-old student who posted the disturbing message on social media was taken into custody and will be charged as a juvenile with terrorizing.

Lewiston High Scholl and Lewiston and Lewiston Regional Technical Center are now open and both schools will hold after-school activities on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
