Search turns to recovery mission for missing MMA student

ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- While Maine Game Wardens were not out on the water Wednesday searching for missing Maine Maritime Academy student, David Breunig, one non-profit search and rescue organization was.

Down East Emergency Medical Institute (DEEMI) spent the afternoon on the Penobscot River, searching for Breunig.

"To bring David home is our main concern, alive or to bring closure to his family. We realize how important that is to families, either way. Of course, we'd prefer to be positive about it, but in reality, we want to bring closure to the family," said Justin Faloon, a section leader with DEEMI.

Dive teams were out for a third full day Tuesday searching for Breunig, last seen leaving a party in Orono on Friday.

Officials believe he may have been walking on a train trestle over the Penobscot River in Orono as he walked home.

Police say he is 6 foot 4, around 225 pounds with a slim, athletic build. He has blue eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing jeans and Timberland workboots.
