Rick Fournier devotes time and talent to a diverse and impressive list of organizations that know the value of his participation: the Bangor Public Library, Maine Discovery Museum, Bangor YMCA, the Maine Arts Commission, and the Bangor Water District.
In addition to donating his time and talent, Rick has also served in leadership positions for many of them. His nomination for a 2 Those Who Care award stems from his work with the American Folk Festival, where Rick has chaired the board of directors for this three-day cultural celebration that attracts 100 thousand people to the Bangor region each year.
While his nominator praised his vision and energy, AFF President Heather McCarthy explained that the Bangor Savings Bank senior vice-president’s financial acumen and focus on the organization’s financial health keeps it front-of-mind for board and staff, securing community-wide access to the arts well into the future. Rick Fournier is “a leader with an incredibly positive attitude, dedication, and vision…exactly the type of person for whom the 2 Those Who Care award was created.”
